How-tos:
1. Login to the user account you want to monitor.
2. Download the keylogger and copy the keylogger “.app” file to a secret folder such as “~/Library/Preferences”.
3. Double click the keylogger “.app” file to run Aobo Mac Keylogger on the user account.
4. Use hotkey to call out the Aobo Mac Keylogger interface and configure it.

Notes:
1. For Professional edition users
If you want to record all the users’ keystrokes only and physically check the keystroke logs on the main account, you can just install it on the main Administrator account and it will capture all users’ keystrokes. There is no need to follow the steps above to install Aobo Mac keylogger on other user accounts.

If you want to record all the keystrokes, websites, and screenshots, please follow the steps above to install it for all user accounts.

2. Please check “Run keylogger every time your Mac starts” when you set up Aobo Mac Keylogger.

Error Message: “Invalid Key! Registration unsuccessful”

If you got this error message, please check the below solutions:

1. The Registration Code format is “XXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX”, confirm that the first string has three characters.
2. Please make sure all the registration code characters are in CAPITAL. There is no low case letter in the registration code.
3. Please don’t mistake letter “O” for “0 (zero)”, or “I” for “1 (one)”. There is no number in the registration code.
4. Please check if you have added extra spaces to the registration code by mistake. No space is allowed when you type in registration code.

Error Message: “Connection Error!!!
Not able to validate registration at this time”

If you got this error message, please follow the steps below:

1. Please make sure you can open Plimus https page on the Mac. E.g.: https://www.plimus.com/jsp/buynow.jsp?contractId=1993792&templateId=725838
2. If you can’t open the page above, please make sure your internet connection is enabled.
3. Please check if there is Parental Control on the Mac and disable it. Guide about How to disable Parental Control on Mac.  After registration, you can re-enable the Parental Control.
4. Don’t forget to adjust the settings of third-party parental control tools such as Safe Eyes if you have them on your Mac. Those tools may prevent you from registering.

To fix the privilege problem, please follow the steps below.

1. Open the interface of the keylogger by hotkey.
2. Uncheck “Run keylogger every time your Mac starts”.
3. Reboot your Mac.

1. Please make sure your settings on Email tab are correctly as we suggested, or the email sending will fail.

5. Please make sure your logs in email attachment are not oversized. For example, if the screenshots interval is too short, the logs will be too large to be sent, because some email servers do not support large-size attachment. The screenshots interval should be more than 20 minutes.
6. Please use a stable email service such as Gmail. Some email servers don’t work fine now and then or have great limitations on email size. This is also one of the factors affecting email function.
7. Please make sure you haven’t changed your email password. You may change your email password but forget to reconfigure it on the mac keylogger. Change your email settings of the keylogger when you change the email password please.
